In my ongoing documentation of the Thousand Year Trust’s work at Cabilla Woods, I have focused on the replanting of indigenous tree species, capturing not just what is visible above ground but also what remains unseen. This series reveals the intricate root systems of young seedlings—delicate, vital and significant in size. These images show the unseen architecture of renewal, where growth begins.
The project at Cabilla Woods is an act of patience and vision, restoring an ancient landscape for future generations, each seedling a chance for slow and deliberate return to ecological balance.
